Every card Badgewright prints is recorded against the person: which copy it was, when, with which design, by whom, and why if it was a reprint. To reprint a card, select the person in Search & Print as usual; because they already have a card, you are asked for a reason before it prints.
See a person’s print history
Open the person’s record. The header says Printed 3× or Never printed, and the History panel lists Printed cards with:
- Copy: #1 is the first card ever printed for them, #2 the next, and so on.
- Printed: the date and time.
- Template: the design and its version.
- By: who printed it.
- Mode: Search & Print, Capture & Print or Reprint, with the reason for a reprint.
Only cards someone confirmed as printed count. A job that was cancelled, or is still pending, adds no copy. The panel needs the Print cards or View reports permission.
Reprint a card
- In Search & Print, select the person. You can also press Print this card on their record.
- Badgewright notes that they already have a printed card and records the job as a reprint.
- Under Reason for reprint, choose Lost, Damaged, Name or title change, Photo update or Other, which asks you to describe it.
- Print as usual.
A reprint uses the design’s current version and the person’s current details, so a corrected name or a new photo is on the new card.
To reprint a whole batch, open the print job and press Reprint these cards. People deleted since the job ran are skipped.
Print jobs and reports
- The home page lists Recent print jobs. Open one to see its status (Printed, Pending or Cancelled), the cards in it, the printer profile used, and who printed it.
- Reports shows cards printed per day, week or month, activity by user (with Export CSV), print jobs in the date range, and the audit log. Filter the audit log to Print jobs to see every print, reprint and cancellation with its reason.
